About The Artist

I am a self-taught nature artist based in the New Forest. I've has always held a love for both wildlife and art – two passions that have naturally woven together to shape my creative journey.

Working primarily with coloured pencils, I create highly realistic portraits that celebrate the beauty and intricacies of the natural world. Then I incorporate impressionistic mixed-media backgrounds to add depth, atmosphere, and a narrative element; allowing each piece to tell a story and offer the viewer a deeper connection to the subject.

Time spent in nature is both my muse and sanctuary. Whether walking through the forest or along the shoreline, it’s moments like spotting a deer foraging amongst foxgloves or a song thrush just a few feet away eating fallen ivy berries, that sparks my inspiration.

I hope my work can offer a sense of calm and connection with nature, particularly for those who may not always have access to it first-hand – bringing its beauty and healing presence into your everyday surroundings.

I'm also passionate about conservation and environmental issues. My garden is a haven for wildlife, filled with pollinator-friendly plants, bug hotels, bird feeders, and I support initiatives like No Mow May. Where possible I opt for eco-friendly options, especially in my art business.

Through my art, I hope to inspire others to cherish and protect the natural world.
